How to Find Glendaruel
You have a choice of routes to Glendaruel Caravan Park.
1. By road via the very scenic “Rest and be Thankful” (the A83) down into Cowal (via the A815). Glendaruel Caravan Park lies 13 miles south of Strachur on the newly upgraded A886.
2. By ferry* from Gourock to Dunoon and then on to the B836 which joins the A886 approx 4 miles south of Glendaruel Caravan Park. If you are towing a caravan, we do not recommend this route because of the 1:5 uphill gradient on the B836 at the head of Loch Striven.
Warning regarding Satellite Navigation: If you are using Satellite Navigation, do not turn off the A886 on to the West Glendaruel Road. The main entrance to the park is located off the A886.
