A beautiful natural environment

Glendaruel is a sheltered glen fringed with hills which provides habitat for many species of rare wildlife; it is common to see red squirrels and a wide range of bird life on the many delightful walks within the Park and the local area.  With such a wonderful feeling of remoteness it is hard to believe Glendaruel is less than 2 hours from Glasgow. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful landscape and the wildlife.

Lots of outdoor activities on offer

The environment of Glendaruel is ideal for outdoor activities.  There is a variety of excellent walks in the glen and the surrounding hills. Fishing is very popular, with the opportunity for fly fishing for salmon and sea trout on the River Ruel.  Fishing permits are available for the River Ruel and the local lochs. Horseriding, sailing and other watersports are just a few miles away at Portavadie Marina and Colintraive.

The Park offers wonderful outdoor freedom for children, with a safe rustic play centre and a dedicated area for ball games, with a wide variety of family activities on offer within the local area.
